The Kurozan leather 'KIWAMI' jewelstone uses the finest domestically sourced black-haired wagyu leather, crafted with traditional Japanese lacquer techniques and Himeji's unique tanning methods. This leather, exclusively produced by Sakamoto Shop in Himeji, is known as the "black diamond of leather," featuring large, wild grain textures. With a production limit of about 20 pieces per month, it is a rare gem praised by artisans and designers worldwide for its beauty and quality. It has received numerous international design and craftsmanship awards and, due to its rarity and high acclaim, is extremely limited in availability on the market.
This leather, expressing the grandeur of Japanese gorges and the gray of rock surfaces with the delicacy of ink painting, has a unique texture and depth, emitting a special brilliance.
